Valerie is an Architectural Associate at Lamar Johnson Collaborative. She is a graduate of Washington University in Saint Louis, with Master’s Degrees in Architecture and Urban Design. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. In her career, she strives to help create dynamic, flexible, sustainable environments while considering the people, conditions, and resources that foster community values.
With over seven years of experience in the field, Valerie understands the importance of building strong professional relationships with colleagues, peers and clients. She has participated in multiple phases of design work for projects in industry sectors including healthcare, civic/municipal, educational, commercial retail, restaurant & hospitality, industrial, and business/office. Active with the Young Architects Forum St. Louis Chapter since 2014, Valerie has held the positions of Steering Committee Vice Chair for the 2018 term and Chair for the 2019 term. She also serves as Associate Director on the AIA St. Louis Board of Directors and serves on the AIA St. Louis Chapter Planning Committee. Valerie genuinely enjoys sharing ideas and through involvement with AIA, is eager help serve and mentor emerging professionals. |
