Marilina Bedros Gustafson was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, grew up in Montreal, Canada, and currently resides in Kansas City. Having lived and travelled to many different places, she developed a love for the built environment. Her passion for architecture and design stems from her desire to help others and make the world a better place.
While attending the College of Architecture, Planning, and Design at Kansas State University, she served as president of the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS), editor for the college’s architectural journal (Oz Journal Vol. 42), and was an active member of several other student organizations. Marilina was the class recipient of the Bronze Alpha Rho Chi Medal, an award she received for her continuous leadership and service to her school. She graduated with a Master of Architecture degree and minor in Community and Regional Planning. Shortly thereafter, she joined DLR Group as a project designer in the Hospitality sector. In her free time, Marilina loves to read, attend concerts, learn new recipes, take photos, and travel. |
