JR is an Architectural Designer at BRR Architecture in the firms Overland Park headquarters. He joined BRR in Fall 2019 and has been in the profession for 2+ years. He Graduated from Drury University’s Hammons School of Architecture in 2017 with a Masters in Architecture and a Minor in Fine Arts. His thesis focused on designing resilient communities in flood prone wards of New Orleans. JR studied abroad at the Drury Center in Greece and was a member of AIAS and the Art of Space organizations at Drury.
His education and early career have given him an affinity for the ability of community organizations that help propel the issues and concerns of individuals and groups to the city, state, and national levels. Believing that through teamwork and communication people can work together to achieve important and necessary goals. His role in BRR has given him a greater appreciation for teamwork as his studio is a team of design professionals on an international retail program. His experiences in AIA, university organizations, and volunteer opportunities have contributed to his affiliation in organizations in architecture working towards common goals and betterment. JR is an associate member of AIA and is working towards completing his ARE’s. He is also a member of YAF in the Kansas City AIA Chapter. |
